If you want to try out 3D modeling, one free tool that is easily accessible is 3D Tin. Simply go to their website, www.3dtin.com, and you can log-in using either a Facebook, Google, or Twitter account. After doing that, you can save all the 3D images you create.
You can even try the tool anonymously, the only drawback is you cannot save the drawing you made.
For software that is free, 3D tin is great. I tried it out and came up with the following image.
You might think that cubes are the only shapes available, but that's just me. 3D tin has a huge collection of complex shapes, derived from the basic 3D shapes (cone, sphere, cube, pyramids, etc), that you can choose from.
So check it out, and if you want to, share your feedback about the tool.
