ECS P4M900T-M2 No Sound

After installing Windows 7, my system has no sound. But if I revert back to Windows XP, my system has sound. Have tried several driver downloads but no go. Device Manager simply sees the Audio Driver as “High Definition Audio Device”. Can’t find the motherboard driver installation CD.
If anyone can post a link to the most recent audio driver for this mother board, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

Finally found the correct driver from ECS’s website, HDA_V500b. Here’s the link.

  2. Try updating through device manager and when it prompts for the updated driver, browse through the folder where you placed your downloaded file.

    1. Hi Titus,
The usual tips for solving driver problems would be to
      1. install from the driver CD/DVD that came with the hardware
      2. if you're using Windows, try to install the driver automatically
      3. if Windows can't find a driver, then you can ask it to try to search the internet
      4. download drivers from the manufacturer's webpage

If you're still not getting anywhere, you can probably find more help from the motherboard manufacturer's website. They usually have a forum for support issues.

      Good luck!
